My Winter Granola.

When I think about winter, I mainly think about all things cinnamon-y. Like, cinnamon on top of everything and mixed with everything. One of my favorite things on planet earth happens to be granola, so a cinnamon-y, winter-y granola just had to happen. Wanna have a read?

You will need:

  • 150 grams of rolled oats
  • 12 pitted dates
  • 30 grams of chopped walnuts
  • 2 tablespoons of maple syrup
  • 2 teaspoons of cinnamon

But... how?

  • Preheat the oven at 150° Celcius and prepare a baking tray with some greaseproof paper.
  • Chop the dates in smaller pieces.
  • Mix together the oats, walnuts and cinnamon. Than add the dates and maple syrup.
  • Pour everything out on the baking tray and place the granola in the oven for 30 minutes - 45 minutes or until golden brown. Make sure to go trough the mixture with a spatula now and again to make sure your granola doesn't burn but browns evenly. Some of the dates will stay nice and soft, other ones go slightly crispy, which is so tasty!

You can literally use the granola on top of everything: yogurt, fruit, oats, ... You name it!
