This week, I decided to go into an organic food shop. I love food shopping as it is,
so I decided I wanted to branch out and discover some new products and brands. I'm
also trying out some new recipes for you guys, so let's see what I got!
First of all, I picked up some coconut oil. To be completely honest, I have never used
coconut oil before, but I have seen a lot of recipes which I want to try out and for which
I need coconut oil. I'm very curious if it really tastes of anything, but I know it has some
health benefits and that's all I'm really looking for.
Next, I also got some oats. I use oats for everything: breakfast, desserts, cookies,... And I
also use it to put in my home-made granola - recipe coming soon!
Because I'm obsessed with making all those yummy cookies and what not, I decided to pick
up some raw cacao powder.
I've noticed that people use peanut butter for about everything, so I decided to pick up some
as well. This one has no pieces in it, but I have a feeling I should've picked that one up instead. Which one do you like best?
I also picked up some chestnut flower and almond flour. I actually wanted to pick up hazelnut
flour, but I figured chestnut flower could be a good substitute as I couldn't find hazelnut flower.
This is delicious in cookies as well (theme going on - I know!)
Last but not least, I spotted 100% dark chocolate. Now, I don't really now for which purpose
I'll be using this one - you really can't eat it by itself, but I'm sure I'll find something. I've just
never seen it before, so I decided to grab it.
All of this costed me €32,00 in total, which is quite expensive, but I have found some ingredients I never come across in usual supermarkets. Have you ever shopped in an
organic products-only shop?
P.S. What are your favorite ingredients to use in desserts? I'm always curious to find something new!
