out of my diet since I lost quite a lot of weight, but there's one thing I can't leave out: sweet
things and especially,... chocolate. Sweeties mean nothing to me, neither do crisps or
pre-made cookies you buy in the supermarket, but chocolate gets me e-v-e-r-y time. To keep
my addiction kind of healthy, I gathered some recipes together and came up with these. Wanna
have a read?
What do you need?
- 1 cup of chestnut flower.
- 1/4 cup of cacao powder.
- 1 tsp of baking powder
- 4 tsp's of honey or agave syrup (save some to drizzle on top when you take them out of the oven!)
- 1 whole egg
- 3 tbs of almond milk (unsweetened)
- a handful of chocolate chips
How?
Mix all the dry ingredients first and then add your milk and your egg. Whisk it all together,
make little balls out of them and flatten them until you have a shape that resembles a cookie
- it doesn't have to be perfect at all, they're home-made. Don't forget to sprinkle some chocolate
chips - they're the best part! Pop them in a preheated oven at 180°C and let them bake for about
10-15 minutes. If you like your cookies chewy, than take them out around the 10-minute mark,
if you like them a bit "dryer", leave them in a little longer and check regularly.
Give them some time to cool and just before you eat them: drizzle some - or a lot of - agave
syrup on top for some extra sweetness.
